On Saturday 3rd April, students in Years 3 to Year 7  are invited to take part in a workshop where they will have the opportunity to learn a little about how film music is made, from script to screen, including some of Pixar’s story-writing secrets!

Saturday 10th April will be for students in Year 7 to Year 13.

This workshop is suitable for all abilities as students will be grouped for the compositional element.

Workshop Timetable

10am                 Introduction by Charles. A short Pixar film will be shown, firstly without any music. Students will then be divided into           groups.

11am                 Break (squash and biscuits provided)

11:20                In groups, the students will be encouraged to explore musical ideas to accompany the film.

12:20                 Lunch (please bring a packed lunch)

13:00                 Further guided work on the compositions

14:30                 All groups together to discuss all of the creations, watch the original film  and have a short presentation of some of the new work created.

15:30                 End

Due to our restriction on numbers, we unfortunately cannot invite parents to the final presentation. However, we will record this and share it with you after the workshop.
