S. Anselm’s Chapel Choir – update

From Saturday 19th to Thursday 24th March 2022 we had the pleasure of hosting the S. Anselm’s Chapel Choir, an integral part of their Preparatory School since 1888. The pupils, aged between 10 and 13, enjoy regular tours and public performances throughout Britain producing wonderful part-singing over a wide variety of repertoire. Recent accolades include performing Evensong at University College Oxford, Benjamin Britten’s Saint Nicholas with the Bakewell Choral Society as well as a performance of Britten’s Ceremony of Carols in Bakewell, and Evensong in Lincoln Cathedral.

The S. Anselm’s choir toured to Salzburg in 2016, Prague in 2017 and Spain in 2019, but this year they chose to visit Jersey, performing in Georgetown Methodist Church, St. Saviour’s Parish Church, Chateau Vermont and, informally, at Mont Orgueil castle, as well as several of the local schools.

Students also enjoyed various other activities, including Blocarting and visiting Jersey Zoo.
