Summer Course
Monday 22nd to Saturday 27th July
We have a handful of places left for our 2024 Academy Summer Course
We currently have a broad range of students signed up, in terms of age, level and instruments.
The JAM Summer Course is open to any young people aged 7 to 18 (school year 3+) who play a musical instrument or have singing lessons. You don’t need to have taken any grade exams, but we suggest a minimum standard of Grade 1 to ensure that students are able to learn their music in time for the concerts.
The Summer Course is open to students who learn elsewhere, so if you have friends or family who might be interested please feel free to forward this to them.
This year’s highlights include:
- A daytrip via rib to Sark with a performance for the Seigneur.
- Laser combat at Creepy Valley (and a visit to Jump Jersey)
- Water activities with Absolute Adventures
- Workshops with the amazing violinist, looping artist and beatboxer extraordinaire Faz Shah (see his website here and Youtube here: Blinding Lights | The Weeknd | Faz Shah (youtube.com))
- Concerts at Georgetown Methodist Church, the Seigneurie in Sark and Howard Davis Park
Teaching Faculty:

The tutors will be all be supported by two past Academy alumni who will assist with both the musical and adventurous activities.
