Christmas Concerts

4th, 5th, and 6th December 2017 Three evening concerts for all students to play pieces they have been working on this term in front of a friendly audience.  Over fifty solos took place over the three concerts, many thanks to all the teachers for stewarding and organising.

Exam Preparation Platform

20th November 2017 A concert for all the children entering ABRSM and Trinity practical examinations.  Eighteen children participated, playing through their exam pieces in a friendly and encouraging environment.  

Suzuki coaching with Barbara Parham

November 2017 Barbara Parham, former Director of the British Suzuki Institute, visited the island to spend the week with Vanessa Moore giving tuition, observing lessons, and advising children and parents on good practice techniques.

Lilla Akademien Residency

October 2017 A wonderful residency from the 18-strong wind ensemble from the Lilla Akademien (Junior Academy) of Stockholm.  During the week they spent the daytimes at Victoria College, performing to over five hundred children at Primary and Secondary level. French Horn project with Martin Owen

6th October 2017 Les Cor Jerriais had a fun afternoon rehearsing and performing horn-calls in town with visiting French Horn soloist Martin Owen, who was on the island to perform a concerto with the Jersey Chamber Orchestra.  Many thanks to Music In Action for allowing this event to take place.
